  • Biography:
Dr Chauhan completed her Medicine degree at the University of Leeds in 2009, having previously received an intercalated degree in Pharmacology and Physiology from the University of Manchester in 2007. She completed her Medical Oncology training as a Specialist Registrar in the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust in 2020. During her registrar training, she obtained a Post-Graduate Certificate in Oncology from the University of Nottingham. Dr Chauhan spent three years as a Clinical Research Fellow, running a clinical trial investigating Aspirin and Ticagrelor for Tumour cell Induced Platelet Aggregation, culminating in obtaining her PhD from the University of Leicester.

Dr. Chauhan is a Medical Oncology Consultant with a specialist interest in hepatobiliary and lung cancers. She also has an interest in frailty recognition and intervention in Cancer patients. She is keen to progress the development of the HPB clinical trial portfolio in UHL, to provide more options for our cancer patients. Dr. Chauhan is also involved in medical education and is the Cancer Care Block Undergraduate Education Lead.
