  • Biography:
Trisha is a postgraduate research fellow undertaking a higher research degree with the University of Leicester. She is working under the supervision of Professor Ashley Dennison and Professor Marco Oggioni on the ex-vivo perfusion of isolated human liver segments as an ethical and physiological model for the study of infectious disease.

Trisha graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2016 and undertook her foundation training with the University Hospitals of Leicester. During this time, she worked with the HPB team and was inspired by her senior colleagues and trainers to pursue a career in academic surgery. Trisha is now a registrar in General Surgery in the East Midlands North deanery. After completing her third year of specialty training (ST3), she has taken time “out of programme” to work on her research interests and undertake an MD degree. Following the submission of her thesis, Trisha plans to return to clinical practice and complete her higher surgical training.
