Pancreas Cancer “APP”

The HPB team in Leicester (Cris Pollard and Giuseppe Garcea) are working with the De Montfort University Computer Science team to develop an “app” for patients with pancreatic cancer. The “app” will serve as a patient’s guide during their diagnosis and treatment. The computer science team is led by Samuel Haxworth and Keith Parkins (both 3rd year students at De Montfort University, Leicester). The idea was selected as being of interest and value at a recent “Hackathon” held by De Montfort University.

The “app” is still in development but considerable progress has been made from its original inception to a working prototype.
